can anyone help meout whats the time canadian high commission is taking nowadays for processing skilled migration files in india?
my case was filled on dec2003
sumit
check their website (delhi high commission). it does say 52 months to get the initial assessment. you have a long wait. CIC delhi is now processing Dec2001 and a few Jan2002 cases.
hi diamond
did u personally enquired from chc or chkd the website
Hi Sumit,
One doesn't get very far enquiring anything about Immigration from CHC Delhi, THESE DAYS. However, you could try.
The norm is, once you get your AOR, no matter what processing time is mentioned in it, you need to keep checking the website to find out the latest processing time.
For example, my AOR says 24 months. Woe betide me if I dare call CHC Delhi enquiring about my case even though the 24 months have passed many moons ago! Now their website states 52 months. So I will dutifully wait the 52 months and enquire after that.
I think the same (i.e. when to enquire) is mentined somewhere in the Delhi website (the immigration processing page)

AOR actually means Acknowledgement of receipt. You must have got one from CIC Delhi by now? In their acknowledgement to me, they'd mentioned 24 months, but that was, like I said, long time ago.
To calculate 52 months, one needs the AOR date and that should be on the AOR that they've sent you.
Alternatively, you could go to http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK and from your e-client status there, find out the date (the month and the year at least) when CIC has started processing your application and you could count your 52 months from that date.
If it helps, I've applied 9 months before you and my IA date is SUPPOSED to be Jan 2006. Someone in another forum has applied in Dec 2003 and his IA date is also Jan 2006. Both of us got the information from our respective CAIPS notes.
thanks diamond for the information. will chk the months of processing mentioned on AOR...my date of application filling is Dec 2003 confirmed from CIC Delhi
