Sidenote for TK Saab :- It is all free!

BV,
Lot of things are available for FREE in Toronto itself. Why do i have to travel to Ottawa to enjoy it.
Just the other day, i heard on TV that Toronto was under extreme heat alert and that cooling centres were open all over the city. I went to the nearest one to me (Etobicoke Cooling centre). I was the only person there. The desi incharge of it was very happy to see me (as i suppose i was the only one who came from the time the cooling centre opened. This was at 2:00 pm) . He gave me 2 packets of cooled orange juice and 2 bottles of water for FREE. He then asked me some questions and enterted it in the feebback sheet.
In Toronto, JAZZ festival is FREE these days in Downtown. As SS said, there is a parking spot near the LCBO for $5 a day parking.
Open doors Toronto (once a year) opens you to many attaractions in Toronto FREE of charge. I am content in Toronto. Ottawa has not that much attactions/ oppertinities as Toronto.
Fireworks were FREE in Toronto too. The fireworks were held all over Toronto on July 1 st. I watched the Ontario Place fireworks from the EX..
Please note that all these FREE things are funded from your and my Tax dollars.
Thanks anyway for the news about Ottawa. I am sure that it will help other CD's..

Oh, I know there are a lot of free things in Toronto. But celebrating Canada Day in Ottawa is special. Most of it is paid for by the Corporate ADVERTISERS and not from your tax dollars. While you do have to buy the water, the party has more than two desis!! Actually I read somewhere that 300,000 people were in attendance.

But the travel cost to Ottawa - Silly me - I just plain forgot about them.
