Hello Friends, I have been cheated of my money right here in Canada, Toronto. I paid this guy $240 and sign up http://www.surejobs canada.com and I was made to sign papers that say there is no refund. They promise job search, three year plan, but I have got nothing so far.
Can anyone tell me what to do. Is my money gone for good or can I approach anyone here for help.
I was also approached by Bernard Haldane to sign up with them for $5400 but I refuse.
I have been jobless for more than 6 months and I'm doing labour jobs. This is my second visit here and both have been failures. I am thinking of going back to Singapore for good.

Pyramid Schemes - Something I fell prey to when I first moved to Canada. I lost $1500+ before I realized that I was never going to make the millions this way!
All it takes is a little common sense to see the illogical nature of this scheme, but the 'get rich quick' dreams never fail to entice us- I sure was duped.
On TV the other day, I saw that this scheme is still alive and kicking- so beware!

I can say this about these "get rich quick" schemes. First of all they are too good to be true, and as the old cliche goes, "if it's too good to be true, it probably isn't". If life was so kind upon us and we could make millions in such short a time, there would be no place for charities like United way, Salvation Army. Of course there wouldn't be any pan handlers too.
Now the way these pyramid schemes work is that Once a desi gets drawn into the quicksand like "Quik@@@@" or "A@@@y, they have to find "sacrificial goats" to A) Recover their moneyand B) "to make millions" like their team leaders told them. I don't have statistics to back my opinion, but I guess it's people from Asia (aka Indian, Pakistanis and to some extent bangladeshis and Srilankans) who you will find most in these "make a million tonight" schemes.
There was a story in a daily that these guys are hanging around places like Walmart (frequented by South Asians) to find "victims". So the next time someone is more polite than humans usually are, he might be going for the jagular.......... Beware!
