My cousin got into an accident, which wasnt her fault. I urged her to claim accident benefit and stay home. Its been 3 months now and she wanted to go back to work. However, the physiotherapy she attended is against it and don't want her to return to work.

She just ignored her physiotherapy and started attending work from this Monday.
Her physiotherapy has been calling her endlessly and asking her to come and sign numerous forums.

So I went to with her to see these guys yesterday and they were giving her only part of the forums. For example page 5 of 5 or page 3 of 5 and just asking her to sign. When I asked her where is the rest of the forum they are were telling us that they will fill it themself. We demanded unless we read the all thing we cant sign anything and just walked out.

That wasnt the end of it since this morning they have been calling her work place and said he is going to sue her.

These guys are really good in milking the insurance to the max..
The problem is that if you had signed a contract in the begining stating that you will take up full physiotheraphy treatment until you are stated to be fine by the physio.. Otherwise you will be liable to pay for the full treatment or atleast until the part that might have been administered to you. The insurance may take back the money ,if you quit midway.
The best course would have been to talk to your insurance provider BEFORE joining the job. Your best bet would be to talk to them.
Also in many cases it would be wise to sign the physio. forms and be done with it. Yes. the physio. might be a great theif but then it is not your money and you would not be sued. This is how the Canadian system works.
Let me give you a few example.
1. For a minor scratch on my bumper the cost of repairing it was $ 150 but the Auto company billed the insurance $ 1050 while giving me 3 days of free car.
2. The govt. provided me a sum of moeny for education. Once the money was handed over to the company, the institute treated me differntly. I fought for 2 months but lost the case.

This is Canada. We have to adhere to the system (though it might be wrong)

I see your point, but what if she feels normal and decided to go to work.

For every treatment that has been provided till date must have been paid in full .
This info can be verified by calling your adjuster directly . If so U r absolutely FREE to adhere to your own life course . If you feel that you are alright , no one should be telling you otherwise . AS TK mentioned , Physios are the ones who gets the max benefit out of your miseries .
