Hi All
I am sure most of us are checking out timesofindia and following up with the new stir about reservation. I am very positive that everybody of us must have felt anger and must have thought of contributing in some way.
My feeling wasn't different either and I contacted youth4equality http://www.youth4equality.org who is at the forefront of this fight. I communicated with these guys and below is the response from them. There response contains address for contributions. I think we should do little bit what ever we can do. I am hopeful that it may make some difference somewhere.

I think there are millions of others who need and deserve donation like
poor people
tribals,
people below pverty line,
orphans,
CRY,
make a wish,
old age homes,
people whose everything is lost in natural disaster and ...................
list is countless
rather than contributing to fight against reservation....
Your statement is nothing but a lame excuse.
Every person has certain priorities in life. You have God given right to choose them. Ignore this message if you think its not important. I am sure its as important as other issues you have listed to some of the reader.
I am not convincing anyone here.

For people who are for or against reservation , read this
http://www.ndtv.com/template/template.asp?template=reservation&slug=Quota+for+Tamil+Nadu+religious+minorities&id=88392&callid=1&category=National
Tamil Nadu is set to introduce legislation that will provide reservation for minority Muslims and Christians in the state.
The southern state already has 69 per cent reservation for backward communities - the largest such quota in India.

I have no idea what Anand's problem is with what Manjit is letting us know through this medium. I am a supporter of the people involved in this stir against resevation for SC, ST or OBC etc. in India. I was a victim of the system when I was in a college in India. People should be admitted to Institutes of higher learning based on merits, period.
We are not talking about poor people here. That is another issue. Therefore I would request Anand to cool it and take up his causes some other place.

all is well that ends well
