I am impressed by your knowledge of cross border taxation and totally agree with your views. However, My experience with taxation has just been limited to BC and WA state and I have felt it is much cheaper to live in WA state as compared to BC for an equivalent standard of living

Thanks for the compliment. I guess the individual taxation of provinces and states pretty much decide the merits and demerits.

One thing for sure, while the 90% exchange rate has certainly dimnuished certain perks of working in US and living in Canada deal, it has helped me on the taxes by potentially moving me to a lower tax bracket in Canada than what it might have been. This in turn is helping me take more money home.

It's 2 hrs drive from white rock to Seattle. Take 30 mins to 45 mins extra for border crossing. I am not sure how is it possible? 7-8 months it rain all time here and also consider that factor.

I moved from US east coast to Vancouver and I was thinking like same plan but time with family/life is more expensive than USD.

Vancouver is beautiful city if you have money and can afford to live in nice areas.
