Hi,

My sisters student visa was regected without any interview , we had gone through a registered consultant and all the documentation was complete.

What should be the next step do we re apply or appeal or will that be negetive.I do not think I can change any of the required docs as everything was provided.

I will be moving on a PR and desperetly wanted her to join me , is there any other way she could join me when I am in Canada i.e. via Australia or any other mode, I am not sure if any recomendation from any of the ministers in India will be of any help.

Do Advice Freinds....

sorry to hear about your sister. how old is she? once you move to canda you can apply for a pr for her . i think the age for a dependant is 21yrs if not married. check the immigration website.

Thanks for the update but she is unmarried & in the late twenties, she had an approved study leave from her company.

then i would suggest you make her apply for immigration as a skilled class. independantly once you are here she will get 10 points for that . it will give her a better chance . is she a teacher ?

y she would get 10 pts? or say how can she get 10pts for sponsorship from her brother?
she would only get 5 pts for sponsorship. please don't give a wrong or guessed reply in immigration section.
another thing is, janmeja please post ur sisters complete situation and ur family situation with study information as what she has done and for what she had applied, then only I would be able to comment on anything.

My passport is in the embassy for final stamping of Visa (Mine alonf with wifes) , My Dad retired last year, we are staying with him, my mom also expired last year.

I have two sisters , the elder one is married & settled in Delhi, the younger sister (Applicant) has a Masters in English literature with 5 years of work experience in HR.

She got adddmission at seneca college for a PG Certificate program in HR , the isea was that she could join me in Canada, study & then settle down.

How ever her rejection is becoming a problem, I am not sure I can leave her nehind in ndia, I will have to work some thing else (applying for PR will take 7 years).

Do advise

huuuun, I think following points are coming in visa officers mind:-

1) previous study is not matching the future studies, Masters in English and now she wants to get in PG Diploma of HR.

2) as per my calculations, ur sister must be around 25-27, so visa officer will think, y she is still alone? maybe she is moving to canada to finally settle after getting marrying to canadian citizen or PR holder.

3) No strong blood relations in India, visa officer knows that in India parents are reponsibility of boys and girls go to other house, so who is left behind in India for whome she will come back?

4) ur dad is retired, how come ur sister studies be financed? and y ur dad is sending her abroad?

5) no strong financial ties (property on her name, fd's etc etc) left behind, if she moves to canada.

I am thinking from the visa officer point of view. if u can change above mentioned conditions, surely she can get the visa done. but remember that if u move to canada, and later she applied for student visa, it would be more difficult for her to get it.

another option I can think for u is to apply for ur sisters immigration, the time line will decrease within a year or so, and the max yrs for waiting will be around 2-3. so don't worry on this issue, just apply and wait with patience.

marriage is a good option, if u can find a suitable match for her.

thank you, and hope I answered your question in detail.....
