Hi ,
My wife sent in her passport to Delhi on 26 July,they received it on 27 July.
All the previous timeline postings on CD indicate that they have all mostly got their passports back within 3-4 weeks after the submission of the same.Since we havent heard from them,I have 2 questions primarily-
Is there anyone out there who has sent in their passport around the same time & has any news?
Also,how much time does it take for CIC to update the website and approximately in how much time after the "decsion made" shows on their website can one expect the passoprt from Delhi-Mumbai.
Thanks a ton for your inputs on the above.

With my personal experience, I bet, CIC does not update your file information on their website for a long time after the actual situation.
In my case, my passport was with CIC, Delhi for several months with me having no clue on the result of my PR.

But nevertheless, I saw my passport back with the PR visa stamped on it before 1.5 months of the date of the expiration of my medical date. (And if I am not wrong the maximum time CIC can keep your passport is few days less before the date of your medical expiry)

Hi,
As far as i know,CIC-NEWDELHI keeps the passport for atleast 4-6weeks.This is the general timeline(specially for spousal cases).Fewpeople receive their passport befOre the status gets updated.Few receive it in a day or two as soon as they see "DECISSION MADE" in the ECAS STATUS.And few get it after a week.We noticed it in many forums.Even we have sent the passpor on july 20th.Till now we havent heard from them and we have decided to give them a mail after a week.
