Thanks for your response.
This will give at leat some positive hope now ....
Thanks
ramanik.
I would say that Arnab's case is an ideal case, it may not happen with everyone.
Most of the cases i've seen and experienced take very long time atleast 4-6 months or maybe more than that.
Case processing depends upon lot of factors, one of them is immi officer working on ur appln.
in the end i wud say Arnab is lucky to get his visa in just 2.5 month time
hi , CHC new delhi started processing my wifes application on May 17th, on May 25th we recieved a letter requesting to send some photos of our actual wedding ceremony. they recieved the photos requested on 27th May, i was just wondering how much more time will it take for letter of passport request.
cheers
I am pretty sure that others can hit a similar time line too...
The trick is to do the following:
1. Finish your medicals in India before submitting your sponsorship form to CIC.
2. Write a good cover letter with your application which should summarize all the documents submitted in sequence and thank the visa officer at the end.
3. On an A4 paper, paste 2 , 6X4 wedding pictures. Explain the relation of the person in the picture who are standing or sitting along side you. Provide some 50 pictures to overwhelm the visa officer with evidence.
4. Provide an A4 page in front of all supporting document explaining the name of the document(s). Put a paperclip on that bunch to separate it out.
5. Type out your PDF application in bold letters (no hand written stuff).
Thats all it takes to process the application fast. In case you realize making any mistake after sending your application, proactively sent the corrected form to CIC.
Practical tip: Carry 4 sets of application form (specially the ones which your spouse fills) and get his / her signature on all the blank form. If later on you find any mistake in your application, you don't have to courier the form back to your wife in India for her signature (or try to forge his/her signature yourself).
I hope this will help all the future visa applicants in your spouse's sponsorship.
Take care,
Arnab M
