Hello:
I am in the process of getting my immigration related documents back from Detoit through courier.
The Canadian consulate's guidelines for courier backed return of documents however mention that the consulate is not responsible for calling courier companies to collect return envelopes.
In this case, how can I cooridnate the document pickup with the consulate, since the exact time that would be needed to process the documents and be ready is not known in advance.
Any insight by someone who has applied for a visa to Detroit by courier or has faced a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
AB
If you have an account with FEDEX or if you pay them in advance they have facility to pickup on your behalf. You need to authorise them to collect the documents from the consulate. I am not sure about the charges, you can contact them and findout. Similar service may/maynot be available with other coureirs.try UPS and DHL also.
All the best and keep us informed how it goes.
Hiren
If time is not known in advance then it's not possible to arrange courier pick up. When there is a time to send the documents, if there are no return envelope supplied by applicant, then they send through regular ground US mail which is not that bad. It takes only 3-5 days. My documents they sent it on Tuesday and I receieved it on Friday.
