Everyone,
Do watch the film "Dor", preferably on a big screen (desert grandeur and all that)
MR, I think you will like this movie a lot.
Also check out the song, "Yeh Honsla" (Shafqat Amanat Ali) from this movie.
I looked hard to find a theatre in GTA that was showing this movie but of no avail!!! Desi Canadaisn are content with their regular Karan Johar dosage.

I read in the Times of India that because of the rave reviews about this movie, several satellite networks have been vying with each other for its rights. If I get to know which TV channel will finally air it and when, I'll post it here. (But I think that will be at least a year from now).
I had even gone to buy its DVD, but the guys told me that that too would be released a year later.

The Dor DVD was released in a couple of weeks after the film's release and is widely available across the GTA. You can also order it thru' Eros Entertainment

DVDs of flop Bollywood films are released within a couple of weeks, whereas those of successful films take around 4-8 weeks after theatrical release

The positive review of the movie is due to Indian "Secularism" effect.

My acquaintances who have liked it didn't mention anything about the secularism bit. They in general liked the balance with which very simple ideas were handled, the slight nuances which differentiated it from other movies.
But may be what you said is true. To each, his own.
