We saw Ghajini in theatre too but guess what...had to leave 15 - 20 min earlier and cld not see the end.:(

I only enjoyed the romantic portion of the movie...if it was made only on that theme...it would have been more successful...in my opinion...

the best part i liked was the actress .......she was so full of life......she is frm malayalam films ...??

I have not seen Rab Ne.....as the dvd was from the camera print. Saw Ghajini over the weekend. Romantic part is great along with the background music. Asin T rocks along with AK. Hope she does very well in bollywood. Villain is good (P. Rawat). Never got bored. I have to admit, after a long time, I did not fast forward.

Hmmm.

So. I watched Ghajini...

After all that praise I showered on Aamir bhai, I must say I am thoroughly dissappointed with the movie and more specifically Aamir's acting. Guy Pierce has a decent body. But I didn't see him walk like he had a 10 foot aluminum rod stuck up his rear end.

And after Aamir removes his t-shirt...geez...enough with the narcissistic flexing of the muscles already. He does that for so long...maybe he wants you to count that 8 pack twice to be sure...in case you forgot. Since he has short term memory loss, I think he forgets what a great body he has and looks at it again and again.

As I mentally made a mince meat of that chatty heroine, I almost forgot the premise of the movie...wait! There's the premise! The movie is so bad, so out of focus, that every scene makes you forget the previous with its ingenious lack of flow and completely disconnected story-line. Hang on....what was the story? I forgot...I got a serious case of short term memory loss after watching this movie.

The biggest mistake I made before watching Ghajini was to watch Memento.

Other mistakes I made was to watch, Burn After Reading, Slumdog Millionaire, Gran Torino and Revolutionary Road.

Its amazing. We are SOOOO happy with movies like Ghajini, RNBDJ and yet it pisses off Indians to watch a movie like Slumdog Millionaire win accolades.

Just so freakin ironic...

Totally agree with your post specially with the last para's....

Ghajini was a total disappointment for me except the love story. Can't even watch Aamir Khan copying an holywood theme as he is being considered a man of originality. He copied it & copied it badly.

I rather enjoyed the movie Dil Kabaddi which is quite hilarious & an impressive acting from Irfan Khan. It's an adult comedy, one of its kind in bolywood. You won't regret watching it on DVD as I did.

Agree with irock. Dil Kabaddi was hillarious, and gripping. The dialogues and acting by each one of the actors, esp. Irfan was way too good.

I finally got to watch "Ghajini", and I would say it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, esp. because I have seen "Memento" from which "Ghajini" draws its inspiration.

The director/script writer has butchered the idea of "short term memory loss" and inserted all the required Bollywood masala in it, including the stupid watered down ending. The storyline becomes linear and the movie loses its track due to unwanted romantic angle and the whole story of Asin being some kind of "messiah". She hams and overacts all the way.

Aamir should stop carrying the label of somebody who only acts in good movies.
