Police are searching for a man seen hiding razor blades in the sand of a South Etobicoke park where many local children play.

Police tell 680News that the razor blades were scattered around in the sand of the park. The blades were found buried with the blades up and were highly capable of cutting through skin.

Several parents expressed anger that someone would blatantly try and target young children and essentially try and hurt them.

"I think someone is very sick and they've got issues," said one local-area parent. "They should be seeking help. It's a sad thing. It's a very sick thing."

Police are now looking for a man spotted placing objects in the sand at the park. He's described as white, in his forties with grey hair and a thin build.
