what is a .pps file?

How to open the file? Its not a power point file, I think.

- By default, PPT files open in edit mode within PowerPoint allowing you to use all the menus and commands.

- By default, PPS files open in slideshow (play) mode and you see no PowerPoint interface. When the presentation finishes or you manually exit using tthe ESC key, PowerPoint also quits.

if you change the extension of the file from pps to ppt, you can open it in powerpoint and edit it, if not locked by the owner.

Thx all.

I finally opened it. First copied as a seperate file and changed to .ppt also. So as u all said, its a powerpoint file. When opened in .ppt, it shows the photos cut and paste to the slides.
Opened .pps also. No presentation slides. Only pictures.
