I read in today's metro newspaper that even govt raise the minimum wage to 8 bucks, still people who will earn this wage will be still under the poverty line. So what should be the income to live above poverty line?

Get the salary the govt officials do? Then still bitch. Get a 25% raise then still bitch.
Next year go for a higher raise and still bitch.
