Moving to monday at 9 est i am told.

Theres also 'Dragon Boys' about asian gangs in Van. Anyone seen that yet?

They should introduce couple of Hindu characters to make it more interesting and fun.

Yeah. Chinese community in Van. Cool. Liked the way the lady stood up for the family and the ruffians cowed away. Wasn't expecting that. Actually thought the ruffians would cut up both the Dad and son.

I like the Yasir character. He seems to be the most pro actor in the ensemble w.r.t to the ease of dialogue delivery.

btw: I'm on some forums where the right wing is not taking very kindly to the programme.

I think the ratings for the 1st telecast was pegged at 2 million viewers. CBC has ordered 8 episodes. If there will be more depends on all of us.

I hope all of us keep tuning in. That way we can have more programming that reflects the ethnic makeup of the country...inturn giving more opportunities to ethnic minorities besides undermining stereotypes.

I agree. If this experiment is successful chances of more such programs will increase and also encourage desi in showbiz to undertake more such projects. BTW do we have any desis in this forum whose profession is in TV and media?
