Folks I know this has been raised in the forum before and basically I've decided to try this out with our good old Promodji. Though he painstakingly explained to me a lot and I kind of understood many, I was wondering if people in this forum can share their experience as well with Smith manouevre.

In another thread you mentioned that you are going with your mortgage thru Firstline. Just out of interest, is your Smith manoeuvre also thru them?
Can you outline the type of Smith Manoeuvre you are undertaking? Like perhaps give in short the mechanics of it? Did you pay 5% down, 10% down, 25% down on your mortgage? Was it a first time or did you upgrade your home and take a reset/new mortgage?
Would be very thankful for your reply and so am I sure would several other people on this forum.

Yep, planning to put down 25% and we are first time home buyers ... Kind of splitting it into var and fixed component ...
