This is what we call living in an illusion.. similar to the one called "Frog in a boiling water"
Exactly - though 70% of the population may be poor or what ever , they are still entitled to basic necesseties and good standard of life viz free education , medical care , clean environment , Government support and taxes from others to take care of them ....
Thats the difference b/w being poor in a rich nation and being rich in a poor nation !!

Fido.
Why this discussion about India needs to go into bashing Canada..
This is about India as an investment choice.. Say its like why would one invest in India than China or USA (barring the real estate which not every one is comfortable).

The cowards never started,
The weak died on the way,
Only the strong arrived.

what exactly did you mean by poor - unemployed or homeless?
People claiming 70% poor people in Canada, please post a valid link to make such statements. Anyone can pull these numbers and start bashing any country.

"Grass is always greener on the other side".
Sitting on the Indian grass, let me tell you this. The days of people with lakhs enjoying are gone have gone only crorepathis can survive in india. We earn more than a lakh a month in india, but end up spending most of it for the not so good services - Out of home 12 hours a day, leave home when there is no current & come back to see the same situation. Same case in all the other services - i don't want to type a really really long post bashing India.
