Well, Pollution is pollution. How does it matter If it is small or large. It has to be reduced if not stopped.
Just because Indians are less does not mean that canada should agree to them dumping stuff in the ocean if they wanted to just because their number is less. I don't only mean Indians here , I mean everybody and all cultures who have cultural things where it means throwing stuff in the lakes and rivers should stop this . Have you seen what this has done to Ganges near Varanasi. It is not surprising to see dead bodies floating the in river there as it is the holy river and it is in our culture to dump the bodies there as they will go to heaven. Do u realize people drink and bathe in that water..

I agree with Smiley. Any kind of pollution is a problem does not matter and need to be addresses.
I don't understand what means by pollution.??
ash, leaves, the flowers , fruits are the pollution?????
plastic is pollution then every body knows that there is no way for dispose to it, even landfill is also one type of pollution.
stop manufacturing plastic and stop use of plastic that's the only way BUT politics will not do that bcos politics survies on businessmen only.......
put Half burn body in ganga is pollution but disloving ash in it is not pullouting any way.

Pollution:the act of polluting something, especially the natural environment
with Pollutants.
Pollutants : something causing pollution: a substance that pollutes something, e.g. a chemical or waste product contaminating the air, soil, or water.

Maybe we should have a indoor stream or river to do the puja in winter or better allocate a hot spring to the hindus for doing puja in winter?
There are lots of hot springs in Rocky mountains.

I dont totally disagree here - and I can't totally agree as well.
Yes - Ash, Leaves, Flowers & Fruit Decomposes good. If say Toronto Allows us. Who on earth will Monitor? Onus will be on People. And we all know that "creature" very well.
For the Plastic Thing you mentioned - Stores have started Using Recyclable Plastic Bags. You can always ask for Paper Bag. Some Grocery Stores does not by default hand out a bag - they encourage you to use Boxes. Clothe Bag is also an Option.
So many things that one can put in Blue Box. I am not a big fan of Gandhi but something that he did & said, "You Must be the Change You Wish to See in the World." If you are already doing it - continue doing it and world will follow because I know you are not the only one carrying Blue Box.
