hello,

I am on prescription medicines to control blood sugar and blood pressure (a total of 7 tablets a day :( ) and have built up a stock for 6 months, which I plan to carry to Canada. As you can imagine these are quite a large number of tablets.

Any CD who was in the same position and did he/she face any problems? Any advice/precautions in this connection. I will be carrying with me, the doctors report/prescription as well as blood test .

These were also not in the goods to follow list as the diseases were discovered after I landed in Canada. (Any correlation, I wonder?
;) ).

Will appreciate your advice.

Rgds,

newboyo

Generaly you should not have any problem in bringing your 'prescription medication' if these are in original blister packing along with doctor's prescriptions and or report. I have brought the medication my self and did not even have the doctors prescription and no one even asked any thing at the Canadian Customs. But it may be a chance only.

Canadian Customs will not ask you unless they suspect anything, in any case if are able to get something past the customs it does not mean you are legally allowed to bring it in.
Even though i myself have carried 6 months of prescrition drugs without any problem.
But as per law we are allowed to carry a maximum of 3 months supply of medicine.
Check http://search-recherche.gc.ca/cgi-bin/query?mss=cbsa-asfc%2Fen%2Fsimple&pg=hidden&enc=iso88591&site=main&bridge=hidden&lowercaseq=hidden&what=web&user=searchintranet&op=x&kl=en&q=medicines&op=a
Maybe you can carry 6 months supply & if asked say that it is 3 months supply for you & your spouse :p
