At the outset, let me thank u on behalf of everyone for the assistance u have been redering. Coming to my case, as required by the immigation dept in Paris, I sent the amended passport of my son. I do know that the next step is to send the passports to them for stamping the visas. I wanted to know the time scale, as I have lots of things to plan and do in the 6 months I have on hand. I took my meds on 1st Aug, 2003 and plan to land there by 10th July 2004.I'd appreciate if u can let me know, how long will the balance of the process take, as, I am worried that a visa coming thro in Jun would leave me very little time and I need to give a 3 months notice to my current employers in the UAE.

Dear Mr.Masood,
I sent the amended passport to Paris a month back and am yet to receive any letter from them asking for the passports for stamping the visa. Is the decision still a probability (I have an interview waiver vide their letter dated Sept 03)? I am asking this question as I want to plan my purchases and disposals so that I can avoid a last minute rush. Also, Can i send the cargo from both i.e UAE & India, since we are planing to go there in Jun to bid adieu to our relatives there.

I need a work permit or a job offer letter from Canada to speed things up. How do I go about applying to companies? Are there any desi software consulting companies that may be hiring?
