Dear Massood-ji,
Honestly, I am a little panicky at this moment as I write this. After getting a passport request from CHC, I sent mine and my wife's passports on July 12th by Fedex. In the fedex envelope I enclosed the following:
1. Grey envelope (containing passports, 3 photographs each for both of us)
2. CHC ORIGINAL letter with eye color, hair color etc filled duly.
3. stamped and self-addressed USPS express mail envelope (I had to fold it to fit into fedex envelope).
It was received by CHC Buffalo on 13th July. I believe from various forums that people get it back in 10 days or so. Did I do it wrong as stated above. Is it too late already? How long should I wait before taking any action? And what action can I take at that time?
For your reference, my timeline so far is as follows:
Application started by CHC: Feb 25, 2003
Interview Waiver received.
Medicals: Feb 20th, 2004
Received letter asking to pay RPR Fees: May 13, 2004.
Paid RPR Fees: June 8th, 2004
Passport Request: June 23rd, 2004
Sent Passports: July 12th, 2004
Passports received by CHC Buffalo: July 13th, 2004
Your advise will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation,
Aseem.
The situation at this time, I guess, is nothing to worry about. I think you should get your visa anytime now. Don't worry everything will be OK
