This summer we have witnessed so many Accidents, specially on 400 Series, resulting in Death, Chaos & Frustration for motorist stranded on highway for hours. Almost all these recent ones involved Transport Truck. Truck Drivers suffers most, with no mistake of theirs. But again, I have seen some really bad Truck drivers in and around Brampton Area.
They say, most of them could have been avoided.
OPP's eight hotspot areas:
* Highway 48 between Bloomington Road and Smith Boulevard in Whitchurch-Stouffville: 67 per cent of fatalities
* Highway 401 between Whites Road and Courtice Road in Whitby: 65 per cent of total collisions
* Queen Elizabeth Way between Burloak Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Burlington: 31 per cent of total collisions
* Highway 401 Westbound from Keele Street to Highway 400 in Toronto: 7 per cent of personal injuries over 3.5 kilometres
* QEW between Mountain Road and Niagara Street in Niagara: 18 per cent of total collisions over 6 kilometres
* Highway 403 between Erin Mills Parkway and Mavis Road in Port Credit: 11 per cent of personal injuries over 6.2 kilometres
* Highway 407 between Highway 427 and Pine Valley Drive: 20 per cent of personal injuries over 5.4 kilometres
* Highway 401 from Highway 8 to Highway 6 in Cambridge: 14 per cent of total collisions over 7.5 kilometres
