Just to clarrify Chandresh Point
In India FREQUENCY used is 50Htz while in North America its 60 Htz
So its not only Voltage diffrence but also Frequency.
Also all laptops, camcorders, video camera etc come with adoptors which has two ratings. One is 120v & 60 htz while another is 240 v with 50htz.
So 1st is used in NA while next one can be used in south asia.
But if AshwaniG realy wants to take Home theatre, first check in India if converter is avaialble which converts 120v/60 htz to 240 v/50 htz.
I don't think its really difficult to get that too in India
So if price & quality is better if you feel, then go ahead & take that in India
Hi Coolcola !
