When you are unable to get Canadian Dollar (job), U.S Dollar is more worthy.
Some thing is better than nothing!
Hi
I feel it depends on lots of parameters.
Like Opportunities to work in once own field.
Its not only value of Dollar but what matters is work...........

In our case:
My husband is considered a Full-Fledged Engineer in USA but not in Canada.. he has to go through 3-4 years of process before he gets his PE licence.
So we'll not be able to get a job in Canada that we have in US. there goes our US and CDn $ difference.
we are still making more than double/triple of what we will get in Canada. Even if US dollar is 1/2 of Cnd. dollar, we'll still prefer US.
It's all depend on person situation.
I spent six years in Canada and I am in USA for last two years. Here in USA, you can afford luxurious life with single income source while in Canada both husband and wife have to earn for luxurious life. And if you have small kids like I have who gonna take care ? You have to send India or you have to send them in baby sitting.
Also it is very difficult to work as a Engineer ( Civil, Structrual, Mechanical, Electrical , etc) , most of immigrats work as a Detailer/Draftsperson or Estimator with contracting firm.I was suffering with this situation. I am talking about only engineering field in Ontario not other trades.
I think in Alberta situation is diffrent I don't know.
While in USA, they consider our education and recognise as a Engineer.
So, finally you can not compare USA and Canada.

All the post very is very much true about USA. It is the Land of opportunities. If you work hard you can make it big there. Is in it? So many banks are there to offer loans. Money flows there. Canada still haven’t left its UK roots
Long live USA and Canadian economy will depend on it.
