my friend is asking about the following:

can he continue to work in america(with american green card status) at the same time can he maintain the PR status in canada. he never worked in canada. he applied for PR in canada before his american green card approved, since his american green card approved he really don't need to keep or maintain the canadian PR. once he bought the property in canada and sold it. he never filed his taxes in canada and he never applied for the PR CARD. he lives with the family. since americans can enter into canada, does he still need his PR.
in this way does he violating any rules either in canada or america.

your advice and comments appreciated

The way you have explained I don't think your friend would be able to keep his PR status in Canada. He can visit Canada as American Green Card Holder but not as a Canadian PR.

It would always be better to consult an Immigration Lawyer on this matter.

Thanks and regards.

why bother with canadian pr, if he already has an American greencard. At the least he will always have a steady job most of the times, unlike canada with no jobs, no opportunities and north pole winters nowhere to go!
