Hello CDs,
I'm in Burnaby, Vancouver, have a TRV (till Nov'2008) applied for open spousal work permit and would be expecting the same around January 2nd week, 2008.
Can i apply for a software development job ?
Is it true that the software companies would hire Canadian citizens and PRs only ?

Sorry - what is a TRV?
as long as you have a legal work permit - you can be hired. I think governments may have different requirements but I am not sure.

TRV is Temproary Resident Visa and in other words a Visitot's Visa.

Well..
I am ready to do any kind of work until i obtain my work permit,without pay,
but i need a reference from the employer. I just cant sit idle at home. I am living in Burnaby, available from 7 am to 9 pm,including week-ends. I don't have a car and also a driving license.
