Hi all,

I am in an urgent need for an Shared / PG accommodation in Vancouver preferably closer to Indians as I am new to Canada. I have just got my PR.

If you are already in Vancouver and want to live only in Indian area, then visit Main Street/Fraser St., you will find lot of ads. for rent. Same is true for Surrey (Scott Road, etc.).

If you are still outside Vancouver, visit craigslist.com and vancouver sun newspaper website for shared accomodation.

Thanks Ash20 for the prompt reply.
I have a couple of more queries if someone from the forum could answer
1) I would like to know how is the Grand Trunk hostel / Pender lodge for a weeks stay. They are charging around 30$. This is a temporary stay till I find
a permanent dwelling.
2) What is the cost of PG accommodation in Vancouver??

Stay away from that location even for a day.

I don't think PG accomodation is popular here, but you can find shared accomodation. What is your budget? Any particular location you will be working/studying?

Do you have any other location that you know off... I am traveling on the 1st Dec, I know its late...but anyhow...I will be in the forum..if you know of any good reasonable safe place for B & B will be great.
I am having a budget of 400- 450$ for shared accommodation...I can go max to 500$...without a job its tough... but...anyhow safety and good place is important.

I will PM you a phone number, as I know this guy has some kind of house which he rent to immigrants for daily/weekly basis. I don't have any personal experience with his accomodation, but suggested it to to a person earlier and she was satisfied. I think he will be charging you around $35.

I know guy is genuine, as he also gives driving classes, but take your usual precautions at new place. You can call this guy now and he may pick you up from airport or call him from airport.

Ask any other question you have on this forum and I will try to answer.
