Hi,
My mother has a multiple entry visitor visa valid until July-2008. she has visited us in July 2006 on the same visa. Before she has been granted visa, she has to go for Medical examination.
There is a stamp on her passport saying : Medically pre-screened validity: 8-June-7.
Now, she is planning to come again in May first week. Do she need to take the Medical test again? If yes, then what is the procedure like she has to apply through canadian high commission?
I will really appreciate any help on this regard.
thanks
Hi,
When your Mother was issued with her multiple entry visa, she had to undergo a medical check and get cleared to obtain that Particular Visa.
Since she has gone through to get THAT Visa, it will not be necessary to undergo another medical check up, since the validity was based upon the medical report and the duration of that was TWO years. She qualified for that at that time.
If she arrives here and if they say that she has to be on a medical watch, then you may have to comply with that and keep up with their stipulation. That is left to the Officer at the POE.
Just to make sure of all of this, please call the CIC support line and pose the same question with all of the details that they may want to know. Have all of this ready.
I do not see any difficulty if she wants visit and stay till " 8 June 7". Make sure that she has a return ticket and it has a return portion booked on or before that date stamped in the Passport, which is, once again, "8 June 7".
Have a memorable re-union.
Freddie.

When you first applied for your Parents Two year Multiple entry, they needed a Medical for her to qualify for that. That medical was valid for one year from the date of issue. Based upon that medical, they provided the applicant with a Multiple Entry Visa with a validity of two years. That medical will carry through for that duration of that Visa, which is TWO Years.
Now you are O.K. in my books. So should it be in the CIC Books.
But just to clarify the issue that you brought up, I would prefer that you contact the CIC center any day during their working hours and ask the same question with all of the available details and get a verbal response from them too.
Good Luck.
