I am ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black and also has bachelor's degree in mechanical engg. I am looking for an entry level position as a Black Belt. Please let me know of any opening.
Zeeshu - are you in the US or in Canada? The recognition of six sigma is more widespread in the US than in Canada. Therefore, it is much more difficult to find an entry level position as a six sigma black belt in Canada.
I would also like to think that as an ASQ certified six sigma black belt, you have completed at least 2 process improvement projects and have a well rounded understanding of other areas such as project management. If so, you may be better off leveraging any subject matter expertise (such as manufacturing or financial services or accounting or IT, etc.) to get a foot in the door with a company with a six sigma program and then move laterallly within the company into a six sigma role.
There are several companies in the US with a successful six sigma program such as 3M, home depot, Motorola, Boeing, GE, Eli Lilly & Company, Microsoft, Caterpillar, etc. Companies in Canada that have a reasonable six sigma program as Air Canada, Bank of Montreal, CIBC Bank, Research in Motion, Royal Bank, Maple Leaf Foods, Bombardier. This is only an illustrative list but hopefully it gives you an idea.
Good luck.

Atul
