Update No:1:

Took our Citizenship test. We took our Citizenship test at the Mississauga CIC office. We reported there at 3.00PM. There were about 50 people. More than 80% were people with Pakistani Passport. There were a sprinkling of european whites, lebanese and we were the lonely Indians.

We were given token numbers, and our passports of the last 4 years were thoroughly checked and every stamp was checked and if any question on them they were asked by the checker for clarification. As we did not leave the country it was easy for us. Many others had a hard time explaining many stamps and some of them had their passports taken and photocopies made by the checker and attached to the application. It took about 1 hour to check all the passports and we were allowed to take the test at 4.05 PM. The test was for 30 minutes with 20 questions. It hardly took us 5 minutes to finish the test. The test papers were scanned and we were informed that it would take anywhere from 7 to 9 months from 20th Nov to get our oath.

Will keep updating on any further developments/oath and other issues related to this thread.

I am still waiting to get the test date and my online services data shows "Received". I will keep this thread posted.

my file got transferred to scarborough centre on Nov/16. Can anyone tell me how long it takes for citizenship test and oath at scarborough centre

It will take about 3 months to for a test. Can you share your timeiline. When did you apply and after got acknowledgement .

i applied in june----the appln was returned in last week f july-----Appln sent again to sydney in last week of july after necessary corrections. Received acknowledgement in last week of august-----file transferred to scarborough centre on NOV/16------WAITING FOR TEST NOW

I checked my on-line status and it says 'In Process', Updated Dec 05 2006. YAHOOOOO!!!!

Anybody knows how long it takes for getting the test?

Hi Majicrobot,

One of my friends in Mississauga has his test on January 13th 2007. His application was received on Sep 20th 2006 and they started processing it on November 10th 2006.

Please Note -> He was not asked for Fingerprints otherwise it could have been longer
