What would be the best choice if I want to change my carrier from IT?

Technical trade ?
Custom Brokarage ?
Lab Technician ?

Let me tell you about my self. I have been in IT, done 2 years Vocation course , I not an engineer nor have programming skill) working as Tech support, QA specialist or Admin Assist.

I don’t see many jobs in this field anymore I started getting insecure for IT as my carrier.

So now I m thinking of changing my carrier to different field or in same IT field but different options ?

Is any body has same feeling as me or anybody has gone threw same experience?

Can you share your thoughts or have some advise

Go for Nursing. Health sector needs Nurses desperately. Of-course, only with Canadian education. If I ever have a chance to reinvent my education here in Canada, then I would do B.Sc. (Nursing). My cousin finished her last year and already getting $40 in her first job. Also, she didn't do it from the mainstream university. Amazing benefits and crazy money. With the increasing shortage of nurses, the growth opportunities are endless.

I put my $0.02 on Nursing and Nursing alone.

IT is already dying with outsourcing and not much growth opportunities in terms of $$$$$$$$$

Why don’t you go for QA if you have little bit experience. Its in good demand.
Child care is also good option. You can start your own child care after getting certain certificates and experience.
But treat it as your Career rather Carrier

I couldn't agree more with 'Taker'. My wife is new to Canada as well and we are contemplating these two option - QA or Child card centre.

Hi Every one,
I have landed in Toronto on 3rd june with my family.I am an elecronics engineer with 20 years of experience in office automation maintenance.(Photocopiers and fax mcs).I have started searching jobs and all my efforts are in vain so far.Now I started thinking that I should change my career / field. Can any one suggest me the ideal one to start a new career.I am aware of electronics but now after 20 years not really good at it. I am trained only to manage office equipment and not diagnosis of PCBs to component level.
Can any one suggest something so that i can start some earning
Raj

Hi Meet O Line..

Please get the spelling of career right..

Carrier and career are two different words with totally different meaning..

Thanks
