Daikin ( same group as Amana and Goodman ) has not established reputation in Canadian market yet. I will be skeptical about the parts availability afterwards.
No matter who you decide its not worth to opt for extended warranty.
Good luck with your search.

Thanks AshwaniG & San-Hugo,

I guess, I should let it die the natural death.

When one of these(AC/Furnace) fails am planning to get AC/Furnace and water heater replaced together. Any idea how much all 3 would cost(approx 5-6k?)

Do you guys have any recommendation for HVAC installer/dealer in Mississauga/GTA or getting it done through store is fine.

Thanks!

Price of AC / Furnace depends on various factors
1. Make and Model
2. Efficiency
3. Size ( prices shoot up if you need 100,000 BTU or more )
4. Amendments required in duct work as newer furnaces are way smaller
5. Is installer licensed and insured .
6. Finished or unfinished basement.
7. Length of venting required .

Ball park should be around 6 K for AC & Furnace.

Water heater Factors :
1. Tank or tankless
If tank
A Capacity
B Power vent or Chimney vented

If tankless :
1. BTU required
2. Will gas line or plumbing require an upgrade ?
3. Japanese or Korean makes are more expensive than others.

Cost of WH can vary from 1200 -4000 ..

Hope that helps a little.

Furnace are power vented ONLY whereas WH can be power vented or natural draft provided you already have a chimney
