Your family doctor (preferably foreign trained) can advise you of the vaccinations. Hepatitis is one. You may need to give a vacination (i forgot the name) which is not available in Canada but in India. Visit a doctor in India after you land and he will be able to give you the details.
The baby needs to be sucking during landing and take off. Order a basinet and food for the baby. Check with your airline as to what you can carry inside the cabin for the baby. You do have a 10 lb. bag allowance inside the cabin for the baby.
Try to give genuine mineral water in India (boiled again). Donot foget to take Diapers with you (The Indian ones are not good). Also if you baby is used to a brand of formula milk, carry the same.
Enjoy your stay in India.
Peace

Contact your Doc at least 2-3 weeks before leaving coz some medications have to be administered well in advance when travelling abroad.
