A little late in writing this post
I happened to attend the independence day parade organised by CGI on 10th of Sunday at Yonge - Dundas square.
What hurt me the most was a bunch of Khalistani separatist standing in corner with banner and distributing pamphlet, most probably demonising Indian government.
We have lost a prime minister and an army general due to this movement - not to mention thousands of innocent civilians killed during the movement in 80s - including those killed in Kanishka tragedy. Till this day, I change the channels whenver CBC broadcasts any programme related to Kanishka tragedy. It JUST HURTS!!!
When will this stupidity end????

Agree totally! What these people do not realize is that it 'was' the most stupid so called freedom movement in the history ever. Remember them printing their own currency on a regular photocopy paper back in time.
They have to realize that their future lies with India and getting a separate state for themselves will actually be a suicide...especially with a loving neighbor who would not miss an opportunity of a takeover.
These people talk about discrimination and oppression by the Indian government; they forget the fact that we've had a Sikh president and a Sikh general commanding the Indian army in the past.
Surprisingly, people back home don't even talk about it anymore. It’s the Sikh community overseas (especially in the US, UK and Canada) who is trying to put it back to life. It is a dead movement. Unfortunately some people are still hung over and clinging to it.
Hey you forgot our current sikh prime minister, Manmohan singh! A man I absolutely adore and respect.

I admire him too... For his loyalty to Sonia Gandhi and keeping mum during recent bomb blasts

I guess the bomb blast were all in BJP states ....
Still this man no matter how he is acting under Sonia's power & control over the party, is really adorable & respectable.
Just try to google the Biodata/Resume of Manmohan Singh & read it ....

What we can do with biodata only......its like you have a power without portfolio.....
right now situation is they all are sitting in a car, everything PM wants he can do like, play music, seat relax, make AC on, make window up and down............but......but.......... steering, Gears, accleration everything is control by Sonia.
