The best thing about this website is the name itself represents ME. As soon as I type this in the url box it makes me feel home with lots of family members around here ready with lots of information to share & know. The guys who initiated this website have chosen a perfect name & this is I think, where they achieved half of their success.
Other things I like about this website are
- good respected senior people & their knowledge
- tons of information about everything
- opportunity to make good friends & to discuss all aspects of life
- The way the site is been sectioned systematically
Humor : One of the good thing is, it works in my office where most of the other social website & emails are been blocked.
Is my IT guy reading this ???????? Pls spare this one, for god sake

There are lots of good information hidden in old threads and is a very useful starting point when I am not sure. This includes PR information, spousal sponsorship, parent sponsorship, citizenship, job search, settlement and so on.
There is no shortage of informative and fun filled new threads which makes regular visit worthwhile !! 
CD has helped me prepare to land in canada....
helping me while i am in canada......
and hope this will continue.......
discussion about immigration, car import, house hunting, insurance, house purchase, mortgage, networking and TN has helped me immensely. Also 'have fun' has certainly brought some smiles during some stressful moments.
I religiously check this site every day.

Most of the +ve points have already been said.I woluld still like to add that Canadian desi is a GR8 site specially for new comers to canada.
It gives a feeling like a family where members share their experiences,try to solve each others problems,answer to questions,have fun and fight too....but the end of the day its still family.....
I would also like to thank the members of the forum who give their valuable feedbacks and to the modrators for their valuable time.
