Presently there is thinking going on to ban bottled water in Ontario because it makes more plastic garbage & is considered as most deadly & hazardously things for future human generation. Lots of countries & regions have done this.

It would be interesting to know our CD’s view on this as we all in our native have hardly used this bottled water in our daily life. I have lived on tap water until present day of my life including my 3 years stay in Canada. I use bottled water some time in office or when I am out somewhere with my family & its hard to find a water tap. I normally carry water bottles from my home in a bag when we go to CNE or Center Island kind of picnic. It’s just like reusing the bottles until it can be instead of spending $1 to $2 for a new bottle from the stores.

What are your views for bottled water & tap water ?

what do you think about a ban being imposed on bottled water ???????

We switched from bottle water to tap water at home. I did lot of research and saw some reporting on TV and it seems Tap water is good to go and healthy. Make sure you fill the water after keeping cold water running for few minutes and enjoy crisp cold water. Save money.

We in our home drink tap water. For our 11 month old daughter, we boil and cool the the water as a precaution if nothing else.

Bottled water is one of the biggest scams known to man.

Is it convenient? Absolutely.

Is it safer than tap water? No.

Simple really. Save that stash of dough for gas :)

I had a discussion with my family docter and she suggested me to go with tap water. Since quality of Canadian water is always known as excellent in world.

I had heard from some of my friends that tap water has excessive quantity of chlorine but I have been drinking tap water for almost one year and it is good.

Bottle water is a scam...I too feel the same.

We also use tap water if we are anywhere in North America, in asia (India specially) and in latin America where we currently stay its bottled water, for drinking to cooking. In India I remember my boss's (a korean guy) wife used to bathe with mineral water forget about drinking it!!!

I drink tap water in Mumbai as well as Canada.

In fact the last time i was in India i drank water from the local railway stations tap several times. Travelled from Mumbai to another location and it took like 30 hrs in train. Got down at several stations and had tap water without any issues.

Bottled water is cleaner is a misconception.

Anyway after my last trip to India (~3 years in Canada) has made me
conclude the immune system of desis born in India is strong enough to withstand almost any type of water.
