Agree with you.
It reminds me my experience while hiking in Himachal Pradesh - a hilly state in India where most of people use un-filtered water from river or well. They have developed high immunity against water born diseases.
You also said that Vaccines for flu makes immune system weak. As far as I know, the flu or any other vaccine contains a very mild dose of bacteria/virus so that our body can develop immunity against it. So it is not the same as going for filtered water.

I had a man come to our home and try to get us to sign up with Greenlife Water. He tested our water and it turned pink. My wife asked why it did and he went and told us that its chlorine. Of course there is chlorine the water cause it there wasnt then bacteria would grow in the water. I simply told the man this and he froze. He then changed the subject to bathing in fresh water. When it came down to it he tried to sign us up 30 dollars a month for 6 years!!. I told him that I would think about it and after I did my research I would call him back. He said if I signed today the installation would be free. I still refused and off he went.
After researching I found the filtration unit online. You can buy it for 800 dollars from Aquasanacanada.com But Greenlife has a contract with the manufactures of their filter system which is the Rhino EQ-300. So if you live in Ontario they cant sell to you. But there are several other companies that can sell to you.
I just ordered a unit from another company and a plumer is going to install it for $100 to $150. The only other cost is changing the prefilters every couple of months and that is so easy my son 14 year old son can do it. You can buy 4 filters for 16 dollars and that will last you a year if you replace the filter every 3 months.
Save yourself money and buy the unit from another site and change the filters yourself. Greenlife Water is a rip off. They trying to lock you in for 6 years where they will milk you. 30 dollars a month plus their inflated cost for filters. Times are tough and some of us just cant afford to throw money around. I hope this helps people out there make a better choice financially.

Just to be sure, I called Peel Regional Police Service myself, and sure enough, they wouldn't tell me shiat.
Tell me, how was it that you were able to find out about an open investigation into Green Life?
Also, keep in mind that there are bacteria that are chlorine tolerant. As far as how 'safe' or 'unsafe' the city water is, I look at all my neighbors. if none of them are sick, I lay off the panic button. (And I lived in Bradford for close to 20 years, go taste the water there sometime... just wait for it to clear first... eughhh...)
Frennic
The Tap water is regulated by MOE under SDWA. It is safe to drink. Do not spend money in Drinking water systems unless you have your own well (ground water).
The bottled companies just fill tap water in to it and sell it for $1 for 250 ml. You get 1000 lit for $3.00 for peel.
I have worked in water treatment plants and it is absolutely drinkable, pure and safe. The chlorine is in such amounts, that can not harm human body. The region tests water 24/7 by automated instruments controlled by computers / operators. There is a fine of 7 million on operator and 10 million on company that produce it, if they found the water that is out of ministry's specification.

You can spend money if you have extra money in your income. I have also heard about a microcrystalline water that can cure diseases and keep you healthy by removing toxins from body. Its a japanese technology. The instrument is $4000 of cost and you can rent it for $250 per month. You can rent water as much as you want for $60 per month.
I can put that company's name here too but i do not want to advertise him without understanding what his water is.
So, Any TATAs, BIRLAs or AMBANIs here who want to try this, send me PM, I will give details.
I am vaccinated with roadside PANIPURI water of india for 34 yrs.
Enjoy

I wasn't too sure about this company or their product but the 2 sales reps that cam eby my home were very polite and professional. They did make many valid points and I have had my system installed in our home for the last 3 months. The system is performing well and my family and I can literally taste the difference. I have nothing bad to say about the reps of the system.
My family deserves the best. My wife spends $50 every two weeks getting a manicure and a pedicure. I think we can spend $30 a month or a doallar a day getting the best water for our whole home.
Just my two cents
These teams have now hit the Ottawa Valley, but have left the good manners and consideration mentioned in earlier posts behind them in the Toronto-Brampton area, if the visit I had last night is anything to judge from.
When I went to the door, accompanied by three large and distrusting dogs (it was nine in the evening and dark, very dark), I came face to face with a young man who had opened the storm door and was ready to come inside.
"It's all right, I've taken my shoes off," he told me as he started through the door to the chorus of loud, aggressive barks.
"They're friendly, aren't they? Dogs like me," and he reached to open the door further. I purposely had not opened it very wide to prevent the dogs' escape and to keep this stranger out. At no time had I uttered the 'friend' word, so my dogs, an assistance dog and two protection dogs, all power dogs, were on alert.
To his comment about friendly dogs, I replied that they were trained for protection and not friendly, he should state his business and leave, to which he replied he had to check the water meter because of toxins, chemicals, and other risks. He had to go into the basement where the meter was - I was home alone and could not manage three dogs of this size off lead to let him in (not true but saying I was not interested didn't work), I replied so he should put on his shoes and leave. But this was important and I would regret it forever if I didn't take advantage of this offer.
Not interested. Besides, the dogs do not trust you (obvious: hair standing on end, low-pitched threatening growls, teeth bared - all the warning signs that meant they would not let him in the house where they guarded my territory and me) and I always trust their judgement -
He NEEDED to check the water meter and then test the water itself.
I needed him to back out of the doorway and stop letting out the heat. I did not need the water or meter checked and did not want it done. (we have a filter already attached)
"Well, if that's the way you're going to be about it!" he put on his shoes and turned to go, opening the door once more to tell me how much I would regret this then left.
Professional? Polite? Necessary? Not very
