Hi All

I submitted mine in June 2008 this year. I understand the current processing timeline is about 2 years, which means CIC will probably start processing my documents in June 2010.
I wonder if CIC will require my 2009 OptionC when it start processing my documents.
Do I need to maintain the same level of income in 2009 & 2010?
I will back to school in 2009, I'm not sure if I should stay with my job just for the sponsorship qualification.

anyone knows, please help, many many thanks.

You are right in your assumptions.

They are looking for the Notice of Assessment, or if not available, the equivalent there of, for the past twelve months at the time of submission. If you can maintain the same status quo, then, they will know that you are in employment and not switched to your studies.

Things do change and when they do as in your case, they will discover the change in your status and upon verification, will ask you for more documentation. The onus is upon you to either substantiate the same. If the finances are same or better at that time, they will continue with it. You have to be the judge as things progress.

Just because you are studying, does not mean that things are not in your favour. You might still be able to keep up with your finances. Some do.

Hope it works out well for you. And good luck.

Freddie.

Hi Desi Team,

I have a related question. Please help. I submitted application for my mother's immigration in Nov 2006. I noticed that CIC is processing application submitted by Sept 2006. My question is: should i send my updated financial information to them now without waiting for their mail? I have already received option-C printouts from CRA for tax year 2006 and year 2007. I heard on radio that it should save me 2-3 months if I do this. Only problem is that I am not sure how to do this? I do not have any file number etc.

Thanks for your help as always. I think CD rocks.

MJ

It will be nice to have a file number to address to, otherwise, they will not know where it is to be filed. Imagine a number of applicants they will have to look through for a period of SIX years and 250,000 for each of those years. A whopping number of files to scan through to find yours.

Just for your information, when your file gets a number, they know more about you than you will ever know about yourself. Because the option -C printouts that you got, ARE from them.

Guess who is ahead of the game?

Thanks, and we are the graduates from hula kahiko and hula auana school of dance.

Freddie.
