Hope some of you already saw Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
Here are some of my views -
SRK- as usual acted in movie. But most of the time its OVERACTING. Sometimes even HAMS
Anushka - looks good when in long shots. But when in close up, ufffff !
Not good in in even basic acting, also hardly glamourous!
Aditya Chopra- Good in direction but very few scenes. Compared to DDLJ &Mohabbatein, this movie is not even CLOSE
Rating - In 1 to 10 grade, if DDLJ was 9 the this RNBDJ is not even 2
Of Course I will not be surprised if SRK, director & movie wins LOTS of awards next year
Also I think SRK should stop working only for awards.
I heard he compare award shows, make fun of celebrity & what not only to win awards
His last really good movie was Kal Ho Na Ho or to some extent ChakDe
My wife and I liked and enjoyed the movie. I am not really a fan of Shahrukh Khan and never liked any of his movies, except Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. But I admit that by far in my analysis, positives overrun negatives. Here's my take:
Positives:
1. Different story
2. Superb portrayal of Surinder Sahni by Shahrukh Khan - look at his body language and 'aam aadmi' clothes.
3. Real location (Amritsar), real office atmosphere (Sahni's office), and real college corridor (Khalsa College, Amritsar). Thus, no artificially erected designer sets.
4. Vinay 'Bheja Fry' Pathak
5. Better direction than 'Mohabbatein'
6. No 'Aishwarya Rai' and 'Amitabh Bacchan' (Thank God!)
7. End credits (Honeymoon in Japan)
Negatives:
1. As always, over the top Shahrukh 'RAJ' Khan.
2. Repetitive 'RAB' dialogues (mujhe rab dikhta hey...blah blah blah....)
3. Howcome the wife couldn't recognize his husband without moustaches and in metrosexual image - too filmy?
I didn't find any negatives other than the above. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the movie in a 'khachakhach bhara hua' theatre.
It is supposed to be a "remake" of Naseer-Rakhi-Parveen starrer "Dil Aakhir Dil Hai"

For Fabreet,
Just curious to know, are you from Punjab/Chandigarh area?
Sometimes person can identify story/location etc. if from same area
Like Mumbai/Bombay people easily like movies such as Sarkar/Gang related/Wednesday etc etc
Anyway I missed few Positives like-
Vinay Pathak -best ( I saw Desvedniya just a day before)
Of Course - end credits (something different)
For Meghal,
I found more a copy of old GOLMAAL starring Amol Palekar
It sure takes guts for a charismatic star like SRK to portray a non glamorous , simple character .... similar to Madhuri in Prahaar .... She never did that again ..... I am not sure ... if I appreciated the final dance sequence though ... Although good , but this failed to create an impact like OSO ...

I loved the movie. A sweet and simple love story.
Dont overanalyse it guys! 
bollywood movies arent meant to be analysed lol.

interesting...... I haven't watched the movie yet, but it seems to be a good movie as per all the reviews written here.
Specially the above review from febpreet. Because I always believed that if you want an Shahrukh movie to be a hit, you have to show him a millionaire with all the fancy suit & clothes. Also it has to have good cars & bikes & shooting locations.
I can't remember any hit movie where he is shown as an 'aam aadmi'. Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa was an exception, but then it wasn't a big hit. Rest all of his hit movies have portrayed him as an rich guy.....
