Just saw "3 Deewaryein" (3 walls).

Very good movie - mixed Hindi and English.

Naseerudin Shah is as usual consistently amazing in his performance.

Just saw "Munnabhai MBBS" ... couldn't stop laughing. It was good spontaneous comedy, with some senti scenes in between.

I think, comedy in Typical Tapori Bombayya Hindi is fun to watch.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

Recently saw "Samay" with Sushmita Sen. This is a really good movie. well made and the script has been thought of well.

Its a good movie and quite original, though its a copy of a well known English movie, but I won't relieve the movie's name otherwise the suspense will be lost in this film.

Go watch it .. better then Sha ra ra rukh movies

Munna bhai M.B.B.S

I know Munna bhai has been out for a while, but I recently happened to catch it. It definitely a good movie and quite funny (rare for Hindi movies that only think funny means Johnny Lever .. urgh!). It a bit similar to the Robin Williams movie "Patch Adams".

Definitely worth a watch and I was amazed it was such a good movie, then I saw that it was from the Vidhu Vinod Chopra house .. the guy who made "Mission Kashmir" .. another fantastic movie.

Also recently saw Chameli *ing Kareena -no-talent- kapoor and Rahul Bose.

The movie is decent (nothing great), well told and most performances are good. Kareena though once again proves she can't act - she overdoes it and I never felt she could play her character well. I think she should stick to no-talent-required fluffy roles like in KKKG.


Another movie was Private Detective *ing Naseerudin Shah. I personally think Naseerudin Shah is one of the most talented actors in Indian cinema and he proves it again in this movie. His performance is good, but the movie is HORRIBLE. DO NOT BOTHER WATCHING IT.

Yeah, Munnabhai is a must watch for comedy fans. And yes, Paresh Rawal's"Hera Pheri" was among the best in recent times. (Credit to Paresh Rawal, people remember it as his movie and not the heroes Akshay & Sunil Shetty's)

Some other oldy comedies that I enjoyed as a kid are:

1. Angoor(Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Verma)
2. Golmaal (Amol Palekar, Utpal Dutt)
3. Satte Pe Satta (Amitabh, of course)

The Mahabharat Scene of "Jane bhi do Yaroon" is simply unforgettable.


I am told "Maqbool" released recently is a fantastic movie, with some good performances by Irfan, Tabu & Pankaj Kapoor(no, its not a comedy!)
