Hi All,
I am having a question about citizenship changes during I-140/I-485 processing.
I am an indian citizen and I am about to file my Canadian citizenship in 3 months, but my employer is going to file my I-140/I-485 (Green card step 2).
If I get's my canadian citizenship before I-140 or I-485 clears (Which will most likely), Does it affect any way my GC processing or GC.
Because while filing I-140/I-485 I will be filing as an Indian citizen and during process I may get canadian citizenship.
1) Will my GC becomes invalid anyway / My counter resets to apply again I-140 and I-485.
2) Or can we inform BCIS during processing that I became canadian citizen because (Dual citizenship for India is still not finalized).
Any suggesstions or comments will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
