Hello sir,
I have a query to make.
My cousin sister possesses 5 year Tourist Vsa for canada.
We are looking for a suitable match for her.
Please suggest if she can get married over here with an PR while being on Tourist Visa.
What will be the modalities/precautions to be taken care off ?
Kindly give valuable advice.

It is perfectly legal to get married when in Canada on a tourist visa - and not only to a Canadian PR, but even to another person on tourist visa.
Depending on what kind of marriage one chooses, the modalities will have to be decided accordingly -but except for a court approved marriage, there should be no special thing and a normal marriage can be performed.
Though I have a feeling that you want to ask something about Residence and shifting to Canada - since your present question is directed solely toward 'possiblity of getting married in Canada while on Tourist visa', I have restricted my reply to that alone.

Well you are right. Now that first part of the query has been answered positively, of course the next obvious question would be to know if she can apply for permanent residence in Canada or not.
The PR husband would be sponsoring her and what will be her legal status till the case is over and what are the general waiting periods to get the PR status ?
We have shortlisted a guy who is himself new to the country and landed two months back only. Can he sponsor her ?

In my opinion, the best person to answer this question is Blue Lobster since he is in the same boat having got married two months ago to an Indian girl. I hope he reads this or else I will contact him to give a reply to you.
According to him, such applications are processed fast and he expects his wife to be here in 2-3 months if I am not wrong.
