Sponsorship of parents

I had filed for sponsoring my parents back in early 2006. In late 2008 the file was sent to India. Recently my parents recd file no. in india from Indian office. What does this mean that their file will now start being processed in India ? Thanks.

Yeah...that means your parents file will take about 24 more months to prosess but since they have their file number they can apply and are eligible for a multiple entry tourist visa's for canada

Thanks DP, what makes you think they will get visa now ? They have been refused visit visa once after I had applied for their sponsorship.

24 months.....oh long wait.........

The status is same, file is being processed in India....no news...
