Skilled Immigatation

Hi,

If someone works as a cook (6242)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list

and has a Bechelors of Commerence from Mumbia university do they meet the new requirement from CIC.

The person concerned is the wife (25yrs) who is the main applicant; while the husband is (30yrs)

Here is a link to the NOC class in demand. When you click on the particular NOC numbered heading, you will get an explanation as to what it is that they expect from one who is qualified in that particular category.

You can work as what ever you want. But does that qualify you in that specific number (6242). Do you have the proper qualifications, either the certificate or training? If so can you obtain a certificate also.

Let us be fair, you might have learned to cook, that does not mean you are a qualified cook. A certified cook and a commerce graduate, well that is a bird of a different feather. Then I will say go for it.

Otherwise drop the idea.

The Canadian Government and the Association of all the Schools and Colleges have formed a group called : http://ciip.accc.ca/ and they are based in New Delhi. I would urge you to contact them and get your qualifications evaluated and see if it will get you in.

You will be surprised that there are schools here for every thing and they are also called vocational schools and they issue a certificate or a diploma for each of the profession. Here are some links. See if you can get one such paper from any of them.
