Hi
Dear friends, I came to canada last year and at present I'm working with a good company but my field has changed here.
I want to get some job in IT field which is my like an ambition. I've been in IT for past 14 years and I know all basic things, hardware assembling, maintanence etc, Desk top publishing, AutoCad, C++ etc.
Still in programming I know, but I'm not a professional as I should be.
Could you please suggest me what should I do? What course should I join in IT field and will it be viable to do any course at this time?
What about Comptia A+ or Network administration or so? please guide me friends?

You didn't mentioned what work you are in or it's scope or growth possibilities.
My first suggestion would be to win your manager's confidence. Then, talk to him. Tell him what you want and what sacrifice you are willing to make to get there - evening/weekend studies, extra work (obviously, without extra $s), etc.
This could easily mean doing nearly 2 jobs with your current salary.
With your current company's support, your transition could be ultra easy. As you mentioned, it's a good company, such transition should be possible.

Not sure about either of these two. But try to be with whatever you are good at.
The direction in which the world is going, no single tool/skill/technology will keep you safe at anyplace. World wants good thinkers. What is that you can deliver and nobody else can?
