Personally I would say to all newcomers is remain positive, believe in your efforts and approach right people, don't get influenced by people who only have negative to say. Look at those people who are just like you when they came but are now successfully established and compare what quality they have and you don't and learn to develop that in you.

Please note that, co-op programme is also taking people who are laid off and place them voluntarily to work after co-op programme at different organisations and then if organisations find them hardworking and efficient, they absorbs them.

It is not only for newly landed immigrants but for everybody who are in search of job in their own field.
