Hi Gopalpai,
You definitely have commendable positive approach. People talk too much in this forum but it is rare to see someone genuinely willing to help. Please keep it up.

For those who are new to the call center industry, let me share, what I know about these positions.
There are briefly two types of call center jobs - One which involves selling over the phone, which is also called \"outbound call center job\" or \"telesales\". . The telemarketer or the telesales agent is on an auto dialer, speaking to prospective customers trying to sell a product or service. This can range from selling insurance policies to cruise packages.
This job is only for the \"never-say-die\" type of people because no one wants to be bothered by someone who calls at odds times of the day, to sell a product or service.
The one exception that one might see is jobs in the market research, where the prospect is paid for the time, by way of a coupon, or a cash reward when they qualify and come to a market research company and fill out a questionnaire.
The other issue that concerns outbound positions is that there is a \"do not call\" register where customers can sign up. 30 days after they sign up, no telemarketer should call them. The only exception to this rule is those who are raising funds for a charity. For more information on this, please access this URL:
http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/DNCL/brochure_consumer.htm
If a telemarketer violates the Rules, the CRTC may impose a penalty of up $1,500 per violation for individuals and up to $15,000 per violation for corporations. Now one can wonder, how does this matter to me...... I am only an employee of the company making an outbound call. The matter is not that simple because the person who is on the \"do not call register\" can take out his anger at the person calling.
On the other hand, there are \"customer service\" or \"technical support\" positions, which are also called \"inbound\" positions. These positions involve speaking to customers, who call the company about their bills, services, and technical support. These positions are much easier than ones involving outbound calling.
To be successful in a job involving phone, one has to be very patient, methodical, and have great communication skills, apart from good and accurate keyboarding, windows and internet skills. If you have all of these, you are good to go in this area. There is also an element of upselling in every job, be it a inbound or outbound position.
Good Luck!!
my advise to you all is go there, give interview, if selected take 5 days training and gauge for yourself whether you are suitable for this job instead of always being afraid to do anything because of some law. For your information my relative went for interview and luckily he found his college mate taking interview and my relative is offered to promote heaters and after sales services of heaters because he is a mechanical engineer. He is going to join their training programme tommorow. (teleperformers)
S.P. data is strictly a call centre and we know somebody there who is team leader and now earning after 2 years around 8000-10000$. Now it is upto you all which advise to consider and which advise to overlook.
