No private company will cover pregnancy/ delivery or any pre-existing conditions

i believe alberta state has health plans from day one of landing you could check

Thanks for the information. I sincerely appreciate your help. As per this Alberto site (http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/cps/rde/xchg/sa/hs.xsl/dynamic.html?topic=&subtopic=&topnav=living&audience=763&facet=354&faqid=1825) healthcare is covered from the date of arrival.

- Can some one recommend a good locality in Alberto, especially Calgary ( may be nearer to hospital )
