Hi Docs,
There is a lot of confusion (atleast in my case) over the risks/benefits of taking a vaccine which MAY??? have been rushed through trial and review processes.
Could you please advise what is the best course to follow for the following -
-- husband/wife mid 40s, not unhealthy.
-- teens 15 and 17.
Rgds,
Newboyo
None of our 3 family members are going for the shots (including the 3 yr old). Actually, we've never had any flu shots anytime and don't intend to.

There is a risk either way, get the shot or not.
There is good information available at Fightflu.ca but it takes time to load. FAQs by Region of Waterloo public health. http://www.waterlooregionpandemic.ca/en/generalresources/FluQA.pdf

Hi,
I am very confused with some of the media reports with doctors saying the regular H1N1 vaccine is good for pregnant women. Some of them said that if you are in your 20 weeks and above then you should take the adjuvant H1N1 vaccine. Can someone clear my confusion in this area ?
Should you be taking the seasonal flu vaccine if you have taken the H1N1 vaccine ?
Thanks in Advance
I like the confidence of some of the people who have posted above.
What are your odds of dieing if you take the flu shot? I don't have a figure.
What are your odds of the same if you do not?
Is this H1N1 Flu really dangerous? Or is it Hype?
If you feel that you will come up winning, by taking a shot, then go for it.
If you think it is redundant and don't need it at all and you are confident that you have immunity, or God on your side, or luck with you, or a rabbit's foot around your neck, then you are on your own.
I decide for myself what i ought to do and i do not want to get influenced.
But one little factor that now has kicked in. It is a visit to my Doctor's Office. What if he asks me if i want to take a FLU Shot?
I believe in him and he says it is not harmful. (And i am not scared of needles) So, I am going to let him give me a Flu shot. It protects me and it pleases him.
Well I will have a sore arm for a few days. That is about all.
Hopefully I am not going to visit a hospital or make a trip and get into a pig farm.
Or visit USA and get a H1N1 Visa.!! Or is there one?
Freddie.
